Lync 2010 continuously asks for credentials after signing in, after a password change

After resetting your password and signing into Lync, you may be repeatedly prompted to enter a user name and password so Lync can connect to Outlook. See below:

Solution

Remove the Microsoft_OC1:uri=username@domain.com:specific:EWS1 entry from Credential Manager (Windows Vault)

Jovan, This is a great credentials tip, this prompt has really been bugging me. I have another question for you if you use Live Meeting in Lync 2010? The other day we had a live meeting going on sharing a monitor. Three of us were working on an app on a server. I set up the Lync meeting and found that my control of the pointer was smooth and exact. When the other two people took over the delay in the pointer movement was so frustrating that they turned over control to me. Do you know what the issue is and fix for this? Previously Live Meeting did not have this delay motion. It’s only when Live Meeting was moved over to Lync that it is occurring.
    Thanks
    Kathy

Hi I am having the problem that credentials are stored under generic credentials Microsoft_OC1:uri=name@domain.com:specific:OCS:1 We keep deleting this credentials and they come back after a few minutes sometimes. and every morning it locks the account in Active directory. Any ideas?

    Hi, thanks for your help!
I have removed the credential (for Lync) from Windows Vault, but still Lync is not asking for the new password to login. It is autometically logged me in with the old password and there is the same ‘repeated prompt’.

    Pls help.

    Thanks in advance.
